Annotated Bibliography

This course uses a stacked approach to writing your TEAR Paper starting with an Annotated Bibliography.  Undergraduate TEAR papers will identify 2 terrorist events committed by 2 different groups with different ideologies (category of terrorism) that occurred in the past 5 years.

For the Annotated Bibliography assignment (in support of your TEAR Paper), you will identify 6 quality sources (excluding course texts or materials) using 3 sources for each terrorist event you are examining.

Sources can be any reliable online resources, academic journals, government publications, etc. The strength of your sources depends on research rigor and the absence of bias.  (Wikipedia and other compendium websites are not legitimate sources).   After the identification of your sources you will build a worksheet where you have each source listed in APA format, followed by a summary of what the author says, and then how the information will be used in your TEAR Paper.  For a sample annotated bibliography see

Each source should have 250-350 word analysis and your assignment should be in Times New Roman 12pt font, with 1.5 spacing, and 1 inch page margins.

The grading rubric for the Annotated Bibliography is as follows:
